Kitchen Plus ("we", "our", "the app") helps you track kitchen inventory, scan receipts, and plan meals. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.
All data collected is used solely to provide the app's core functionality: authenticating your account, storing your kitchen inventory, tracking food freshness, matching recipes to what you have, and managing your shopping list and meal plans. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Kitchen Plus uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) to store and process your data securely. Receipt scanning uses Google's Gemini AI, called only from our own backend — your data is never sent directly to Gemini from your device, and no third party uses your data to track you across other apps or websites.
Your data is private to your account. Server-side security rules ensure that only you can read or write your own inventory, receipts, and shopping list — no other user of the app can access your data.
You can delete your account and all associated data (inventory, receipts, receipt photos, shopping lists, meal plans) at any time from within the app's account settings.
Kitchen Plus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
